Seed for planting new cocoa plants

Seed for planting can be obtained from the farm or certified crops and/or nurseries. In the case that they are obtained from the farm, they should be taken from plants with higher productivity and that are more tolerant to diseases; if you choose nursery plants, they should have about 30 or 35 centimeters to be planted in the final site, applying loose soil and organic fertilizer.

In any of the cases when planting the plant, special care should be taken during the period of tree formation with frequent watering, substrate rich in organic matter and partial shade.
